Vena Energy's 41MW Japan solar project starts operations

The project is said to produce about 49,526MWh of renewable energy yearly.

Asia Pacific-focused Independent Power Producer (IPP) Vena Energy has commenced the commercial operation of its 41MW Hitachiomiya solar project in Japan, according to an announcement.

The construction of the project began in December 2018.

It features 121,980 photovoltaic modules spanning an area of 41.23 hectares in the Ibaraki prefecture in Japan.

The project is said to produce approximately 49,526MWh annually, to supply up to 9,389 Japanese households with renewable energy yearly.

The project is also expected to reduce approximately 545,776 tonnes of greenhouse gas and save 3,749,115 litres of water annually.
