Indian solar steam generators now operational
System built in Denmark.
The 60 MW Godawari concentrating solar power plant (CSP) located in the Jaisalmer district employs a steam generation system from Denmark-based Aalborg CSP & Sojitz Corp. Godawari Green Energy Ltd., owner of the plant, expects the facility to 130 GWh of electricity per year
Aalborg CSP said its steam generator is designed to perform with a high gradient of up to 9 degrees Centigrade per minute, allowing a rapid ramp-up every morning and after transient clouds. It said this capability can result in more than 30 minutes of extra operations during a normal nine-hour day, increasing energy production by 5%.
