Yingli Green in Malaysia expansion

Increasing supply of PV modules for residential market.

Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Ltd, a Chinese solar energy company that is the world's largest photovoltaic (PV) manufacturer, has signed a framework agreement with RE FIT Solution Sdn. Bhd. to supply 500 KW of multicrystalline PV modules for Malaysia’s residential market.

These modules will power at least 125 families that currently account for nearly 10% of the residential market in Malaysia.

The announcement follows on the heels of Yingli Green’s supply contract for the largest single site PV power plant in Malaysia.

Yingli Green Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Liansheng Miao believes the company will further expand its market share in the residential and utility segments of Malaysia, and in other countries in Southeast Asia with huge potential for PV applications.

Yingli Green Energy currently maintains a vertically integrated production capacity of 2,450 MW per year at its production facilities located in Baoding, Haikou, Tianjin and Hengshui. Headquartered in Baoding, China, Yingli Green Energy has more than 20 subsidiaries and branch offices worldwide.
