Eurus Energy building 200 MW solar projects
Target is end of current financial year.
Eurus Energy Group, Japan's largest wind power developer, said it will start building a 115 MW plant in the town of Rokkasho in Aomori prefecture at a cost of US$479.7 million.
The plant will start operations in November 2015. Eurus is currently building a 30 MW plant in Hokkaido. Kyocera is supplying the panels for the project that is to be completed in March 2014.
It expects to finish building another 10 MW solar plant in Osaka this August. Mitsubishi Electric and Hyundai are supplying the modules. Eurus Energy is an Independent Power Producer involved in wind power and photovoltaic power projects in the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Norway, Japan, and South Korea. The total capacity of its operational power plants is 1,986 MW.
