Chint Group completes 10 MW solar power plant

Invests US$48 million in project.

Chint Group through subsidiary Astroenergy Solar said the 10 MW solar power plant is located on the roof of the newly-built Hangzhou East Railway Station in Hangzhou, China.

The project occupies an area of 120,000 square meters and consists of 44,000 Astronergy polycrystalline PV panels. Over 10 MW is expected to be generated per annum and a portion of the generated electricity will be used to offset lighting energy consumption within the huge building.

All electricity will be delivered to the local grid. Astronergy Not provided the PV modules and other key components including 500KW inverters, transmission and distribution equipment/transformers.
